After the luncheon, he is headed to the Indiana Statehouse for a ceremony in which the official governor's portrait will be unveiled.

Pence leans against his desk with his hands crossed in his portrait, an open Bible to his right with a photo of his wife and children, and on his left a stack of law books, and the United States and in flags behind him. "All of you who feel called to confront the challenge of urban youth violence - you have an ally, an advocate and a champion in President Donald Trump".

Slash said the Ten Point Coalition "should have consulted people before they made that decision" though he credited the group with reaching out across the aisle. A stack of law books is to his left, with IN and USA flags IN the background.

Pence is also wearing a blue and gold tie - designed by wife Karen Pence - that is based on the state's logo.

He delivered the keynote address at a luncheon held by an anti-violence group, the Indianapolis Ten Point Coalition.

Pence's IN visit came ahead of his five-day trip to Central and South America, which begins Sunday.

The portrait will ultimately join the Indiana Governors' Portrait Collection, which dates back to 1869.

Air Force Two was scheduled to arrive about 10:30 p.m.at Indianapolis International Airport, with a motorcade into the city to follow the airplane's landing. The vice president and Second Lady Karen Pence have a busy day ahead.
