The actress has gained enormous popularity from Kamal Haasan-hosted show and there are rumours that she might be back on the show soon. A complaint has been filed at Nazarathpet police station against the producers of the show, Vijay TV and the show's host Kamal Haasan.

He alleged that on August 4, Vijay TV had shown visuals of Oviya trying to commit suicide by drowning herself in a pool inside the Bigg Boss house, the report says.

The Nazarathpet police said that the preliminary investigation is in progress.

"We have recorded the complaint in the Community Social Register (CSR)".

Young Tiger NTR surprised the small screen audience with his stupendous hosting skills and despite of the poor show from the contestants, Bigg Boss received huge TRPs all over. "We spoke to Oviya's personal secretary, who denied that she attempted suicide", the police inspector was quoted as saying to the Hindu. Bigg Boss Tamil's popular contestant Oviya was evicted from the Bigg Boss Tamil on Day 41 over mental health issues. She had used the word "cheri" (slum) while talking about a fellow housemate's behaviour on the show.

Earlier, Kamal Haasan's legal counsel had told the court that Broadcasting Complaints Council and the Information and Broadcasting Ministry are the competent authorities that monitor the content aired on television channels. The group had claimed that actor Shakti handled the Nadasvaram without respect on the show.
