The Los Angeles Fire Department confirms at least six people are injured after a vehicle ran into a crowd Sunday afternoon.
Four of the other injured pedestrians have were taken to a local hospital following the incident in the Mid-Wilshire area at around 3.45pm local time (11.45pm United Kingdom time).
The collision happened after 3:45 p.m.in the Mid-Wilshire area, according to local reports. At least nine people were hurt, with eight of them being taken to a hospital.
One person was in critical condition, three people were in serious condition and four others were in fair condition, she added.
Authorities are investigating to determine whether the crash was intentional or accidental, but they say the driver remained at the scene.
Los Angeles police spokesman Josh Rubenstein said the crash appeared to be an accident.
