As we reported, last month, Kendall and Kylie Jenner stirred up controversy when they tried to sell $125 vintage tees which superimposed the reality TV star's faces, social media stats, and "KK" logo over images of music icons including Tupac, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Kiss, The Doors, and Black Sabbath. To be linked to the Jenners, particularly Kendall of Fyre Festival and Pepsi commercial fame, is "particularly problematic [for Miller] given that she was complicit in not one but two of the worst public relations disasters in recent memory", according to Miller's complaint.
The Notorious B.I.G. estate threatened to sue the sisters if they didn't take down the shirts, which they did and apologised, stating: "The KENDALL + KYLIE brand apologises for any insensitivity".
"My photography is very personal and important to me", Miller said in a statement to Page Six. "To see them out there being used by someone who never advised you they were going to be used would be upsetting to any artist".
Miller is seeking at least $150,000 apiece for the use of his photos.
