Welcome to Faith Hill and Tim McGraw's little slice of paradise.
When Tim McGraw and Faith Hill first laid eyes on the 20-acre island that would one day house their estate in the Bahamas, it wasn't exactly move-in ready.
After the country superstars swooped in and bought the property they now call L'île d'Anges in 2003, they simply "floated the shack away" and replaced the modest structure with a collection of eight "pavilions" that took until 2012 to complete.
"We set out to build a house". "We basically had to build a little town".
"You've got to have staff houses". In hindsight, Hill says they were "naïve" about all the renovations the island would need-it turned out to be a massive undertaking. You've got to have infrastructure [for the construction workers].Water.
Faith Hill Sends Sweet Happy 50th Birthday Message to Tim McGraw With Intimate Pic: 'Never Better Baby!' "You don't quite put all that together at first". "We wanted everything to feel a bit cobbled together", Booth explained, "as if you washed up on the beach and had to figure out a way" to decorate the house. The pair hired McAlpine, an architecture and interior design firm that had previously worked on their homes in Nashville and Franklin, Tennessee.
It took nine years for the couple to build the home, which includes an open-air living space and a stunning master bedroom that overlooks the ocean with a free-standing bathtub on its porch.
McGraw and Hill are now embarked on a six-month long world tour called Soul2Soul with Canadian dates in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Ottawa and Toronto.
