This year, they're making Mason Rudolph and Oklahoma State look like they're playing a video game on the lowest level of difficulty. On the run, Rudolph flipped his shoulders around, then delivered a spiral strike to Marcell Ateman downfield. Stoner not only notched 100 yards for the first time in his career, but also caught his first career touchdown in the first quarter.
In 8.5 quarters this season - a little more than two full games - Rudolph's numbers are remarkable: 68-of-94 (72.3 percent), 1,135 yards, 11 touchdowns and an interception. DeQuinton Osborne sped around the right tackle for a first-half sack, and Justin Phillips and Chad Whitener remain sure tacklers.
The offense was a machine at Pittsburgh - a finely tuned one that could have broken all sorts of school records if Rudolph and his first-team receivers were forced to play all four quarters. As the Cowboys played against Pitt on Saturday in a game that was nationally televised on ESPN, those watching were treated to the brilliant play of the senior quarterback.
They had 523 total yards and could've had more had Pitt not turned in a 13-play scoring drive at the end of the half.
Tyron Johnson was absent from the opening kick return for OSU.
Before the first quarter was in the books, they'd already proven that they'd be outgunned and outclassed for the entirety of the football game.
Oklahoma State, however, will face its biggest test to date next week against TCU. After three weeks, the Cowboys are averaging 54 points a game.
