The messages were sent several years ago, on separate occasions.
After receiving the messages reportedly from Bolling, the women told their colleagues that they were deeply offended and upset.
Bolling's lawyer said he "recalls no such inappropriate communications, does not believe he sent any such communications". That hour on Fox News will now be considered a "news hour", staffed with a rotation of anchors.
Meanwhile, Fox Business Network is reinstating Charles Payne, a host who had been suspended while the network had investigated charges of sexual misconduct.
Former Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes resigned previous year after ex-Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson filed a lawsuit accusing him of sexual harassment. Prime time star Bill O'Reilly also lost his job this spring after reports that the network had paid millions of dollars to settle harassment claims against him. The network said it had completed its review of the accusations against him. Now, it appears that Fox News is not standing behind Bolling - or at least, they're no longer employing him.
Bolling began hosting The Specialists with Williams and Timpf in May after the show took over the slot once held by The Five. Bolling asked on air if instead of saying "boots on the ground" it would be more appropriate to say "boobs on the ground".
At the time, Payne denied the allegations and said he would fight to clear his name.
Fox News host and contributor Eric Bolling is out at the network following allegations that he harassed colleagues, officials said Friday. In June, Suzanne Scott, the president of programming for Fox News Channel, announced that Bolling had renewed a long-term contract with the network.
