- Prince George's County officials say three children have been found dead inside of a home in Clinton, Md.
According to the Prince George's County Twitter page, they responded to the 6400 block of Brooke Jane Drive around 7:30 Friday morning. "We have counseling services here on scene dealing with our first-arriving officers".
Donelan said she could not provide information about the ages of the children and whether they are related to one another.
Firefighters arrived and pronounced the children dead. Citing the ongoing investigation, they also wouldn't say what had happened to the family members at the scene that morning. "We believe we have made contact with a parent", Deputy Chief Sammy Patel said.
Donelan described the scene as one of the worst police have encountered.
That work is being done in concert with the office of State's Attorney Angela Alsobrooks, who took the opportunity to speak on behalf of county residents, saying, "We are absolutely heartbroken and we are so absolutely devastated".
"We have a number of people that we are talking to and are continuing to speak to", Donelan said.
