He ran circles around James during one masterfully skillful sequence, then drove left through the paint for a right-handed layup over the star's outstretched arm during a signature moment in another rout.
"There's an eight on the start sheet that I need to correct when we go to Cleveland", Curry said.
Durant complements his teammates, his inside play giving them outside shots and their work opening room for him to attack.
"He's been around, the last couple weeks especially, giving us input and giving us what he's got", Curry said of Kerr.
Durant has taken a great team and perhaps made it one for the ages. "That's what he does".
The issue for the Cavaliers is if they try to slow it down and make it a more defensive-oriented contest, the Warriors are an elite halfcourt defensive team.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have gotten plenty of production from "The Big Three" of small forward LeBron James, point guard Kyrie Irving and power forward Kevin Love in the first two games of the 2017 NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors.
"I thought for the most part with the game plan that we had we tried to execute it as close as possible", James said.
The Warriors overcame 20 turnovers, 13 of which came in the first half, by outrebounding the Cavs 53-41 and outshooting them 51.7 percent to 45 percent.
Note: Steve Kerr, who had been sidelined by constant pain because of complications following a pair of back surgeries almost two years ago, returned to coach the Warriors after more than six weeks and plans to coach the remainder of the NBA Finals.
"When you've got somebody doing you like that, it's just like a burning fire in their eye and you know you don't stand a chance", Green said.
Curry credited his first finals triple double to the tension of the title quest and the effort needed to answer the Cavs' challenge. "I was just kind of like a chicken with my head cut off, just running circles".
Additionally, LeBron James made a point to stop by the Warriors sideline and wish Kerr well.
"We were much more physical than we were in game one. This is where the series changed previous year, so we're just trying to think about the next game". It was 2-0 a year ago, and we lost. Kevin Durant once again had a team high with 22 points.
Speaking shortly before Game Two against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Kerr said he was feeling somewhat better.
What that meant was Golden State wasnt running free all night. We love his voice.
Cavaliers: Tristan Thompson scored his first points of the series on a driving dunk midway through the first quarter. Game 1 it was the Cavs with this problem but with two days of film to watch and surely having had the message hammered home, the giveaways were held to a minimum, a total of eight for the first half.
James came out strong, with 18 first half points but struggled down the stretch on both ends of the floor, scoring just two fourth quarter points and turning the ball over four times. Thompson played in his 78th postseason game to pass Jeff Mullins for most in franchise history. The rest of the top ten local markets include Columbus (19.5), Miami (17.7), Memphis (17.5), Atlanta (17.0), Sacramento (15.5), Richmond (15.3), San Antonio (14.6) and Birmingham (14.0).
Kevin Love provided a needed scoring boost in Game 2 after Kyrie Irving did the same in Game 1 but nearly no one else came through, sending the Cavs to a 132-113 loss and an 0-2 series deficit.
But on a night where Draymond Green's foul trouble sapped his usual impact and saddled him on the bench, Durant's two-way dominance may have been the game's most important factor.
Durant delivered, using his length and surprising strength to snag 13 rebounds, plus block five shots.
