"The U.S. withdrawal means that we have lost a very strong supporter and partner of the Paris Agreement and the main goal of the agreement - to limit the increase in temperature to under two degrees - will be much more hard to achieve".
A Bloomberg spokesperson said the $15 million would cover the United States' share of the U.N. climate body's operating budget and it would come from Bloomberg Philanthropies and its partners, according to CNN.
On Thursday the USA president announced he would pull his country out of the landmark agreement that has commitments from every country in the world except Syria and Nicaragua.
The mechanics of the United States exit are complicated.
Trump's decision to withdraw the USA from the Paris Agreement was also criticized on Friday by Minister of Health and Labor Jevgeni Ossinovski, who said that the U.S.is taking course toward becoming a developing country.
In a statement backed by all 28 EU states, the European Union and China will commit to full implementation of the Paris Climate Agreement, EU and Chinese officials said. "The impacts have been estimated to be likely to reduce global temperature rise by less than.2 degrees Celsius in 2100".
He offered to re-enter the agreement if new terms can be reached.
Trump's announcement fulfils one of his campaign promises and plays well to his core Republican supporters.
"We have a history of pollution and industry, and we're working really hard as a city to move past that through our growing industries", said Isabella Sigado, a 21-year-old art history student at the University of Pittsburgh. If one of them were to follow the US withdrawal, it's unlikely that the Paris accord would lead to large-scale reduction of emissions.

Plank drew widespread criticism in February for praising Trump's pro-business approach to the presidency and the company subsequently issued several clarifying statements, but Plank made his opposition to Trump's climate change ideas clear.
In a TV address broadcast both in French and English, Mr Macron said he respected Mr Trump's decision, "but I do think it is an actual mistake both for the United States and for our planet".
People can have opposing views about the value of participating in the Paris agreement, which is voluntary and has no binding targets or timelines for reducing industrial greenhouse gas emissions linked to climate change. But the U.S. decision does not yet spell doom for the climate itself. Now the 194 remaining countries in the agreement are going to have to figure out a way forward without the US.
