BJP national president Amit Shah, who is scheduled to undertake a three-day tour of the state from May 23, is sure to talk about farmers' woes and the "inept" handling of the issue by the TRS government.
Meanwhile BJP women's wing leader Locket Chatterjee today visited a house in Chetla area of Bhawanipore in Kolkata, where Amit Shah had gone during his "Booth Chalo Abhiyan" in Kolkata last week. "They were brought to the TMC office while joining the party and then disappeared again".
Prasad said the BJP was "deeply sad and hurt" over the development but was not least concerned.
Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad had on Wednesday wondered if the TMC's "desperation" was caused by the CBI's probe into Saradha chit fund scam case and the Narada bribery sting allegedly involving several of its MPs.
She, however, denied rumours that Puthiya Tamilgam Party leader K Krishnasamy would join the party. "The visit will help us widen our base", said Vanathi Srinivasan, State BJP general secretary. In the morning today, the couple appeared at the village, surrounded by Trinamool leaders.
BJP's state president Dilip Ghosh condemned the incident and said, the ruling party in Bengal has set a precedence of "ugly" politics.
The BJP has emerged as a strong contender, practically the main opposition, in West Bengal in recent years after Mamata Bannerjee was able to dislodge the decades-old rule of the Left Front in the state. They chose to join after being inspired by Mamata Banerjee's enormous development works in the state.
Refuting Deb's claim, Ghosh said: "The tribal couple was threatened".
Earlier on April 25, BJP president Amit Shah had started his 3-day-long campaign tour to West Bengal, after having lunch at the Tribal couple's home at Naxalbari.
" Arvind Kejriwal and Kumar Vishwas have their own individual fan following in the entire nation". A BJP delegation met governor Keshari Nath Tripathy on Wednesday to apprise him about the matter.
