Ivana is busy promoting her new book just released, Raising Trump, and the topic of Melania has come up quite a bit during interviews.
“Well I tell you I am technically first lady Trump”.
“I’m not going to discuss Marla Maples or the showgirl”.
“I have the direct number to White House, but I no really want to call him there because Melania is there”, Ivana said. “She just has to get over it”.
“I have no idea why she did it”, Trump said of the first lady’s slam.
Melania Trump made it clear Monday that she may be President Donald Trump’s third wife but is the only “first lady”. “I’m first lady, ok?” she said. “There is clearly no substance to this statement from an ex”. But Melania Trump was keen to alter the shot when she and President Donald Trump met Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie Grégoire at The White House yesterday, striking perhaps the most powerful silhouette of the four of them. “She loves living in Washington, D.C., and is honoured by her role as first lady of the United States”.
Ivana said she was caught off guard by the First Lady’s statement. “I sent to Melania the text [saying] the last thing I would want to do is say something bad about you, you know, because you are family and I don’t say anything bad or do anything back to the family member”, she added, defending her initial comments. “Better her than me, frankly”.
Ivan Trump has been promoting her new memoir, “Raising Trump”, about growing up in communist Czechoslovakia and raising her three children.
