True to our expectations, at least in the case of OnePlus, the Chinese firm has now released Oxygen OS Open Beta based on Android Oreo for its last year's flagships OnePlus 3/3T.
On to details then, the Android 8.0.0 Oreo ROMs made available today by OnePlus are Open Beta 25 for the OnePlus 3 and Open Beta 16 for the OnePlus 3T. This Beta update for the two devices brings exclusive Android Oreo features like PIP (Picture in Picture) mode, September Security patch, new Settings design, etc. OnePlus forum has enlisted following Changelogs of the initial build.
Now able to upload photos directly to Shot on OnePlus through wallpapers.
At the same time, we have bad news for the OnePlus 5 users, and this is shocking too as it has not received the Oreo Beta yet even his elder siblings have received it, soon we can expect Android 8.0 Oreo Beta for the OnePlus 5. Similarly OnePlus had published now known issue in the 25/16 OpenBeta version on its forum.
I don't want to insult your intelligence by reiterating the known issues section in the changelog, but I applaud OnePlus for being transparent about it - especially the point about NFC and Bluetooth needing improvements.
Performance and compatibility of 3rd party apps will continue to be optimized. Just hit up the source link for flashing instructions and be sure to backup your data, since going back from Beta to Official does definitely require a full device wipe.
