While the company is tight-lipped about the flagship smartphone, a new leak reveals the design language of Nokia 9. Looking at the images, it seems like the back has been created to include the functionality of wireless charging. It has a 3D glass build, akin to Samsung Galaxy S8 and Moto X4. Also, it isn't hard to notice a vertically-aligned dual-camera setup at the back. While Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6 are targeted towards entry-level segment to mid-level segment buyers; Nokia's latest, Nokia 8, has all the offerings of a flagship device.
We know that HMD Global is working on a high-end flagship smartphone likely dubbed Nokia 9. A recent report tipped that the Nokia 9 was spotted running Android 8.0 Oreo but there came contradictory reports suggesting that it is not the upcoming high-end flagship.
HMD Global Oy, which has already confirmed its collaboration with Carl Zeiss for camera lens in its future Nokia phones, is expected to incorporate state-of-the-art imaging technology in the Nokia 9. The Nokia 9 is further expected to come with IP68 certification and may also feature an Iris scanner. There will also be a fingerprint sensor placed at the back of the Nokia 9.
According to the existing rumors, the Nokia 9 is believed to arrive with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB storage capacity.
Word on the street is that Nokia 9, depending on the region of sale, will be released in three variants- TA-1004, TA-1012, TA-1052- having different LTE bands compatibility, while rest of the key specifications remain the same.
As far as the price is concerned, Nokia 9 will set you back by $699 (roughly €607/Rs. 45,030). One of the most prominent feature of this phone is that it comes with 4000 mAh powerful battery. For selfie lovers, it will have a 5 MP front camera.
When the internet came up with rumours about the making of a premium flagship by Nokia, it was thought that the device would be named Nokia 9.
