The tornados were associated with bands from Hurricane Irma.
Two tornadoes have touched down in Broward County since the National Weather Service issued a tornado warning Saturday afternoon in nine counties, including Miami-Dade. Tornadoes were also detected in Miramar and Davie.
At 12:22 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Carnestown, or near Chokoloskee, moving west southwest at 40 miles per hour. The warning extended in Miami-Dade until 8:15 p.m.
In Broward, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise, moving west at 35 miles per hour.
A funnel cloud formed off Fort Lauderdale Beach around 6 p.m. just as tornado warnings were issued throughout Broward County.
CBS Boston's Mike Lacrosse got another look at it. Maximum sustained winds were near 125 miles per hour.
