During the general Assembly of the united nations in NY, the us president, Donald Trump has denounced the nuclear deal reached with Iran, as well as its ballistic program.

In comments on Saturday, General Hatami said that its remarkable operational range and unique features have made Khorramshahr a very agile missile. That is what its aspiring to.

"Whether you like it or not we are going to help Syria, Yemen, and Palestine, and we will strengthen our missiles".

Trump was already critical of North Korea for its nuclear weapon development and Iran's ballistic missile programme despite the 2015 nuclear pact with Iran.

The state-run IRNA news agency quoted chief of the Revolutionary Guard's airspace division, Gen Amir Ali Hajizadeh, as saying that the ballistic missile "can carry several warheads for various uses".

The iranian president Hassan Rohani said on Friday that his country will strengthen its capacity in spite of the criticisms of the United States and France.

"The weight of the Khorramshahr missile's warhead has been announced to be 1,800 kg (4,000 lbs),. making it Iran's most powerful missile for defence and retaliation against any aggressive enemy", state television said. "We will not seek permission from anyone to defend our country".

The 2015 Iranian nuclear agreement does not address the Islamic Republic's ballistic missile program.

Iranian officials have argued that the measure only applies to missiles specifically created to carry nuclear warheads. "Not much of an agreement we have!"

He also noted, correctly, that Iran is "developing ballistic missiles".

Iran, which fought a war with neighboring Iraq in the 1980s, sees missiles as a legitimate and vital part of its defense - particularly as regional rivals Saudi Arabia and Israel import huge amounts of military hardware from the West.

Because the resolution is separate from the Joint Plan of Action, violations of it have no impact on the nuclear agreement itself.

He said his country would "not be the first" to violate the deal, which Mr Trump has threatened to pull out of.
