Taylor Swift set to release new music this week

Taylor Swift has posted two cryptic videos on social media, teasing her fans and fuelling speculation that the pop superstar is poised to drop new music imminently.

The site has added Taylor Swift to THE TOP OF THEIR CONCERT TICKET WAITLIST!

In recent weeks, Swift has started making a move towards her highly-awaited album release.

"It doesn't sound like anything she's done before", a second source said.

Still, that's not to say Swift will totally abandon what fans love about her - the new single will still be something followers will love, more sources say.

However, Swift - who has been posting teasers on social media for the last couple of days - is being "very secretive" about the whole thing.

While US Weekly says the song is "poppy", it reportedly sounds unlike anything she has recorded before.

The pop star has been keeping fans on their toes since last Friday (August 18) when all of her social media pages suddenly went dark, leading some people to think she might have been hacked. Moreover, the domain timeless.com has been registered, and the website bears a note that reads "coming soon".

It's been a minute since Taylor released her 2014 hit album, "1989", and the stars seem to be aligning for an even bigger follow up. The album was a massive success, going six-times platinum per the Recording Industry Association of America, and along with "Shake It Off", contained six other singles: "Blank Space", "Bad Blood", "Style", "Wildest Dreams", "Out of the Woods", and "New Romantics".
