It also comes with Senate Republicans using word and deed to signal that they want to leave their derailed drive to scrap President Barack Obama's health care law behind them, at least for now.

Hot off their recent success defeating the Senate Republicans' secret, awful healthcare bill, Senate Democrats are hoping to leverage that momentum into a-hopefully bipartisan-tax reform bill, NYT reports.
