While no expectations have been set regarding how long the starters will play, expect to see quarterback Tom Brady and many other familiar faces in the game, at least during the first two quarters.
On his third catch and run, the receiver limped off the field grabbing his right knee after a non-contact injury. He jumped over the bench to make sure one of his favorite targets wasn't injured too badly.
The Patriots are now 0-2 in the preseason, but starters have seen very limited action between the two games.
Ultimately, the Patriots feature enough depth on offense to keep putting up big numbers, even without Edelman. He racked up 98 catches for 1,106 yards and three touchdowns during the 2016 campaign.
Not only is he a talented receiver, Edelman can also return punts. He has only played every game in a season twice.
Prior to the injury, Edelman looked like his usual self, catching three passes for 52 yards on the Patriots' opening drive.
