The film, which will premiere at this year's Toronto International Film Festival, will debut via Netflix on September 22. If those sound like unnecessary downers in our current dystopian present, luckily Netflix has just announced a more upbeat documentary about pop culture phenom Lady Gaga.
Check out the poster below. "#GagaFiveFootTwo", Gaga tweeted early Thursday. "And I go from everyone touching me all day and talking at me all day to total silence".
In a report by A.V. Club, Chris Moukarbel, who also worked on the documentary about artists Banksy titled, "Banksy Does New York", directed the documentary. With the doc, "audiences get an unguarded glimpse at Gaga through a series of personal highs and lows and the culmination of a year's emotional journey", according to a press release.
"Phase one, let's try to get you out of this intense pain that's in your face where you feel you're running from the tiger all the time, and I know there is a component of sight." said a medical professional to the pop star.
It is a rare moment when one is invited behind the curtain to witness the raw truth of an individual, even more so when that person happens to be one of the most recognizable, influential and scrutinized public figures in culture today. The singer broke the news through her social media and fans are excited to see what the documentary has in store for them.
Another clip shows Lady Gaga in a doctor's room, sans makeup, wearing casual clothes and listening to treatment options to help her manage chronic pain.
