Nepal's Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba says it is nothing unnatural to let the global community know about national priorities of Nepal.
Saying he also held discussion with his Indian counterpart to complete the Detailed Project Report of Pancheshwor Multi-Purpose Project within a month, the Prime Minister said that an agreement was reached to come up with appropriate ways to implement all aspects of power trade agreement apart from resuming operation of trade transit points like Dhangadhi-Gauriphanta, Gulariya-Murtiya, Jatahi-Piparaun and Pashupati-Sukiyapokhari after upgrading them.
With the prime minister's assertion to maintain harmonious relations with India, China must worry about it, he said.
Deuba said that he also held talks with the Indian side for economic development and investment in Nepal.
Speaking at the Tribhuvan International Airport upon his arrival from New Delhi on Sunday evening, he defended his statement.
Reacting on the allegations made by the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninist Party (CPN-UML) to invite its southern neighbour over the internal issue of the Constitution amendment, Deuba said that their was a need of some reforms over the Constitution. "He said his officials and delegation members will soon get in touch with us to work out a possible tie-up for replicating T-Hub concept in Nepal", Ranjan told.
Earlier on Monday, the much-awaited Constitution amendment bill which was brought to address key demands of the agitating Madhes-centric parties failed to muster the required two-thirds majority in the Legislature-Parliament.
Giving an assurance of "every support, every help and cooperation" to India, Nepalese PM Deuba said, "As you (Modi) mentioned that Nepal has an open border..."
"I don't know why my remark was unnecessarily hyped", Deuba said. PM Deuba said, "Agreement has been reached on eight different issues".
