Houston Rockets: Chris Paul Trade Could Land Carmelo Anthony

Can the Rockets land Paul George to play with Chris Paul and James Harden? They are very clearly elite on the offensive end, but only Chris Paul brings solid perimeter defense to the equation.

Of course, Paul isn't the only one on the outs.

While it appears as though the Clippers are beginning to rebuild, the Rockets are positioning themselves as one of the top teams in the National Basketball Association. He joins a backcourt that includes James Harden, who was in the conversation for the MVP this year. The Rockets have been in the top three in pace three times (and no lower than seventh) in Harden's five seasons in Houston.

Shelburne also reports that the Rockets aren't done yet, with reported plans to pursue another superstar player to make a legit run at the Golden State Warriors.

There is a high chance that Melo stays with the New York Knicks as well because of the recent firing of Phil Jackson. The Rockets also get a good piece with Paul being added to James Harden.
