Sony India has launched WS623 Sports Walkman with Water & Dust Resistant features ideally suitable for sports enthusiasts. The Walkman sports a slim, light design and has Bluetooth and NFC connectivity as well. Also dustproof, it can withstand small particles - making it ideal for any sand based activity or a run along the beach. The Walkman comes with two sets of earbuds, one standard and specially designed earbuds which are coated with a thin film to resist salt water damage. Users can also optimise sound levels for underwater listening on the new Walkman. It can endure extreme temperatures from -5°C to 45°C.

It can be connected with smartphones via Bluetooth and also provides the option of streaming music from the smartphone using the Near-field Communication (NFC).

This Walkman features an ergonomic, slim and light design.

By enabling "Ambient Sound Mode", one can stay in touch with the surroundings and utilise in-built microphones to pick up external voices and sounds in the surrounding environment. Sony claims 12 hours of uninterrupted backup on a full charge and 60 minutes of Playback on just 3 minutes of charging.

The wireless Bluetooth headset comes with a built-in storage of 4GB to carry music on-the-go and has been described to be designed specifically for people who are into sports.

Consumers can enjoy a 12 hour battery life with the WS623. The Bluetooth connectivity also allows users to take calls from their smartphone. Sony Walkman WS623 will be available across all major Sony retail stores in India for 8,990 INR starting from June 15, 2017.
