White House press secretary Sean Spicer was asked Friday if Trump still has confidence in Kushner, to which he replied, "absolutely".
President Trump, who is supported by the GOP, was assailed by a number of questions related to Russian Federation.
Comey is expected to appear before the Senate Intelligence Committee, which is investigating possible connections between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation during last year's presidential election.
Kushner is now under FBI scrutiny as it investigates meetings he had with Russian officials during the transition period following the November election, though it does not mean he is the target of the investigation.
She said she did talk to Kushner often, but has not since the news came out last week that he wanted to open a secret line of communication with Russian Federation bypassing formal channels.
And before that, several other administration officials came under fire for various Russian ties.
President Donald Trump sought the advice of Fox News' Kimberly Guilfoyle before announcing his decision to pull the US out of the Paris climate accord.
The changes may also include more lawyers to handle the Russian Federation probe as part of the effort to tackle a scandal that has threatened to consume Trump's young presidency.
"The internal White House war room may be aided by an outside rapid response operation, staffed by Trump loyalists who have remained outside the administration".
Conway, on Fox News, also played down persistent rumours that Spicer was on his way out.
We all know that Kushner would never do anything without the full knowledge of his father-in-law, Donald Trump, so what are they up to?
"Your thoughts on all this back and forth", Eric Bolling asked McCarthy, "You know, you're a prosecutor, your thought - is there any there there?"
Gorkov, chairman of the state-owned VneshEconomBank, exited the event amid a scrum of people as correspondent Keir Simmons repeatedly asked him to clarify the circumstances of the December meeting. The "Russia matter" is not insignificant but it must not dominate the Trump presidency.
Trump on Monday said that he has "total confidence" in Kushner, adding that his son-in-law is "doing a great job for the country".
For example, Trump has entertained bringing back his former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, and former deputy campaign manager, David Bossie, more formally.
