So far, nine countries including Bahrain, Comoros, Egypt, the Maldives, Mauritania, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Yemen and the United Nations -backed government of Libya have cut diplomatic ties with Qatar.
An editorial in a leading Pakistani newspaper has cautioned the Nawaz Sharif government on getting embroiled in conflict in the Middle East and suggested to immediately end its involvement in the Saudi -led Islamic Military alliance.
Saudi is not willing to let Pakistan sit on the fence over the Saudi-Qatar logjam.
The officials stated that the air ban does not extend to private companies and chartered flights, which can continue to use the countries' airports, and can transit through the airspace to and from Qatar, reported the Gulf News.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif told former United Nations secretary general Kofi Annan on Tuesday that Iran will send food to besieged Qatar. "Tremendous investments in the United States", Trump said at talks with Saudi King Salman.
The Saudi Press Agency, while announcing the severing of relations with Qatar, had said it had been done for "protection of national security from the dangers of terrorism and extremism".
Earlier this month, the neighbouring countries of Qatar have abruptly ended their diplomatic relationship with the small Gulf state.
Qatar has withdrawn its peacekeeping troops from the Djibouti-Eritrea border, the foreign ministry said on Wednesday, after years of mediating in a territorial dispute between the two African states.
Other diplomatic efforts have so far not been successful in defusing tensions either.
He said Kuwait is now the main mediator in solving the Qatar crisis.
This comes after Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE and Egypt cut off ties with Qatar.
The crisis has put Turkey in a hard position as it views Qatar as one of its chief allies in the region, but Ankara also seeks to avoid damaging relations with Saudi Arabia and other Arab states.
