In a spokesperson's statement released on Sunday, the North's Foreign Ministry said the UNSC sanctions resolution is a hostile act aimed at curbing the buildup of its nuclear forces, disarming it and causing economic suffocation to it.

"Economical restrictions should be a kind of tool to invoke North Korea to a peaceful process of resolving the dispute and conflict, and not to once again deteriorate the economic solution in North Korea", said Fomin during the global security conference in Singapore. The measure added new individuals and entities connected to Pyongyang's ballistic missile and nuclear programs to the existing United Nations blacklist.
North Korea has rejected all UN Security Council resolutions dating back to 2006 when it conducted its first nuclear test, saying such moves directly infringe its sovereign right to self-defense.
The North regularly threatens to destroy the United States and says its missile and nuclear programmes are needed to counter US aggression. And it is a direct threat to Russian Federation.
While the United States is unable to stop the North Koreans from abandoning their nuclear weapons program, they're going after the companies that do business with the government of Kim Jong Un.
The United States pushed tough new sanctions against Pyongyang Friday at the U.N. Security Council but they were ultimately blocked by China.
