In a spokesperson's statement released on Sunday, the North's Foreign Ministry said the UNSC sanctions resolution is a hostile act aimed at curbing the buildup of its nuclear forces, disarming it and causing economic suffocation to it.

North Korea has fully rejected the latest UN Security Council resolution to expand sanctions against Pyongyang over its nuclear and missile activities, and Pyongyang intends to continue its nuclear development without any delay, the North Korean Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

South Korea has fired warning shots towards North Korea after what has been described as an unidentified flying object was spotted over the country.Reuters reported on Sunday that North Korea's main spy agency has a special cell called Unit 180 that is likely to have launched some of its most daring and successful cyber attacks, according to defectors, officials and internet security experts.South Korea has repeatedly accused the North of flying suspected spy drones across the tense border.

North Korea is pushing hard to build a nuclear-tipped missile that can reach the continental United States.

"Economical restrictions should be a kind of tool to invoke North Korea to a peaceful process of resolving the dispute and conflict, and not to once again deteriorate the economic solution in North Korea", said Fomin during the global security conference in Singapore. The measure added new individuals and entities connected to Pyongyang's ballistic missile and nuclear programs to the existing United Nations blacklist.

North Korea has rejected all UN Security Council resolutions dating back to 2006 when it conducted its first nuclear test, saying such moves directly infringe its sovereign right to self-defense.

The North regularly threatens to destroy the United States and says its missile and nuclear programmes are needed to counter US aggression. And it is a direct threat to Russian Federation.

While the United States is unable to stop the North Koreans from abandoning their nuclear weapons program, they're going after the companies that do business with the government of Kim Jong Un.

The United States pushed tough new sanctions against Pyongyang Friday at the U.N. Security Council but they were ultimately blocked by China.
