A 62-year-old woman and her husband believed to be visiting Bermuda were involved in the collision in Hamilton Harbour on Thursday night (local time) according to Bermuda News.
Her 69-year-old husband, also from New Zealand, and a 26-year-old male United Kingdom visitor both received serious injuries and are now in the ICU.
Passengers of another boat rushed to help the trio, but McKee died from her injuries, police said.
A 26-year-old United Kingdom male also received serious injuries and is in the ICU.
Bermuda Police told the Royal Gazette a 26-year-old local man was driving a 17ft vessel when it collided with the 9ft Zodiac inflatable carrying Ms McKee and two other visitors who were all thrown overboard.
Bermuda News said the woman's husband and a 26-year-old man visiting Bermuda from the United Kingdom were seriously injured and are were in intensive care at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
"The Bermuda Police Service continues their investigation into this matter and will keep the public abreast of developments". However, he remains in custody pending further enquiries.
Update 8:51pm: Shadow Minister of Transport Wayne Furbert said, "Like many of our fellow Bermudians, we awoke to hear news that you never want to hear; the loss a of life".
