Sarah Huckabee Sanders defiantly defended President Donald Trump over his tweets attacking MSNBC journalist Mika Brzezinski.

Huckabee also said he's "never that nervous for" his daughter and has confidence in her ability to handle White House press briefings. The president this morning, apparently unhappy with criticisms made about him on the MSNBC show Morning Joe.

She added, "I think the American people elected someone who's tough, who's smart, and who's a fighter".

Trump attacked Bernie Sanders for letting Black Lives Matter protesters hijack his stage and said that kind of thing would be physically stopped at one of his events.

Thursday morning's tweets were astonishingly vulgar, even for Donald Trump.

"I don't think you can expect someone to be personally attacked day after day, minute by minute, and sit back", Sanders said, arguing that the criticism the president and his aides endure is often personal in nature. "We're not allowed to punch back anymore", he said. "They call him an embarrassment on the world stage and go and lay these different comments out and make them go and defend their previous comments". There have been an outrageous number of personal attacks, not just to him but to frankly everyone around him. "The 1st amendment says they can publish anything they want, they can say anything they want, but what it does not give them is a constitutional right to demand that they get to ask their questions then they get to demand what the answers are". "Where is the outrage on that?"

"What about the attacks he receives?"

"I'm a woman, and I've been attacked by this show multiple times, but I don't cry foul because of it".

Deputy White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Thursday committed a whopper so obviously untrue that it begged correction.

She also ripped the media for devoting more time to Russian Federation and other controversies instead of the administration's efforts. "When they hit him, he's going to hit back".

"The President in no way, form or fashion has ever promoted or encouraged violence of anything, quite the contrary", Sanders responded. "Are you going to tell your kids this behavior is okay?" "The numbers don't lie".

"The media's focus on priorities - they don't line up with the rest of America", Sanders said.

What she said, however, has the power to crush part of your soul.
