Following the release of crime scene photos from the bombing, he has asked for "a complete review" of leaks from US government agencies.
"While we do not usually comment on information sharing arrangements with worldwide law enforcement organisations we want to emphasise that, having received fresh assurances, we are now working closely with our key partners around the world including all those in the "Five Eyes" intelligence alliance", National Counter Terrorism Policing Lead Mark Rowley said in a statement.
Manchester police hope to resume intelligence sharing soon, but are furious with a story in the New York Times that included photos of the crime scene, the BBC reported, without saying where it got the information.
British police have stopped sharing information on the Manchester suicide bombing with the United States, the BBC reports, because of fears leaks in the American media could hinder a hunt for a possible bomb maker.
British Prime Minister Theresa May was expected to confront President Trump at Thursday's North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summit over the leaks and impress upon him that "intelligence shared between their two countries had to remain secure", according to Reuters.
Salman Abedi reportedly used to worship at the same mosque - Didsbury Mosque in the suburbs of Manchester - as Raphael Hostey, who was killed in an air strike previous year. The victims of the attack were still being identified on Wednesday, and pictures of British troops deployed in the central government district in Westminster, armed with assault rifles, dominated the news.
Trump ordered the Justice Department to launch a full investigation into leaks from the Manchester bomb probe.
After the arrest of another suspect on Friday, eight men are now being detained in connection with the bombing. Police say they think they are searching for a 'network'.
Monday's blast killed at least 22 people.
May said on Thursday that eight people are in custody - following the arrests of two more people earlier in the day - as the investigation continues into the deadly attack at an arena where American singer Ariana Grande had just finished her performance.
British police chiefs said the breaches of trust between security service partners were undermining their efforts.
"This is until such time as we have assurances that no further unauthorised disclosures will occur", a counter-terrorism source told Reuters.
After chairing a meeting of the Cobra emergency committee, Prime Minister Theresa May said the terror threat level will remain at critical - meaning another attack is expected imminently. They have said the bomb-maker still could be at large. Israeli intelligence officials were said to be "boiling mad" at the leak, stating that they would never have given away USA intelligence. Abedi's father, Ramadan, and brother, Hashem, were arrested in Libya on Wednesday.
He added that it was a "different world in which the USA operate, in the sense of how they publish things".
