Twenty-two people, including children, were killed Monday when a suicide bomber detonated a bomb just outside of a concert Grande had just finished in Manchester Monday.
In Hull US star Katy Perry will perform amid tight security at Radio 1's Big Weekend, while in Manchester armed officers will patrol The Courteeners' concert at Old Trafford cricket ground, where fans were warned extra security checks will be in place. Ariana has reportedly suspended the remained of her Dangerous Woman tour, but vowed that the horrific attack wouldn't stop her from spreading her message.
United Kingdom authorities have arrested another suspect in the "fast moving investigation" into the terrorist attack on the Manchester Arena, bringing the total number of arrests to ten - with eight men still in custody. Their ages ranged from 18 to 38.
The police have also issued a timeline of events leading up to the attack Monday night, and statistics about what they have found in their ongoing investigation. In addition, Manchester bomber Salman Abedi's father and younger brother are in detention in Libya. Mohammed Hudarey, a friend of the landlord, said that after Abedi moved out about six weeks ago there was a strong smell of chemicals and debris, including metal rods and cut-up fabric, in the apartment. "We thought he must have been a drug dealer or doing witchcraft", El-Hudarey told the BBC.
"We will not quit or operate in fear", she wrote.
Grande did not announce when she'll return to Manchester, but promised she'd let fans know as soon as the dates are made official. The U.K.'s terror alert reached "critical" following the bombing, but as of Saturday, it's down to "severe", where it had been since 2014.
"But the greater clarity and progress has led (Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre), the independent body which assesses threat, to the judgment that an attack is no longer imminent". As a result of the arrests and searches which have taken place we now have many further lines of enquiry.
"Our response to this violence must be to come closer together, to help each other, tom love more, to sing louder and to live more kindly and generously than we did before".
As the situation remained tense in Manchester, police said they were responding to a call at a college in the Trafford area, roads were closed and they were assessing the situation. "We won't let this divide us".
