Meanwhile, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message to Hassan Rouhani on his reelection as Iran's president.
Iran's hardliner Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has congratulated the Iranians for their big show in the exercise for democracy.
Iran's Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli has announced the final results of the 12th presidential election, declaring incumbent President Hassan Rouhani as the victor, PressTV reported.
Iranians yearning for more freedom at home and less isolation overseas have emphatically re-elected President Hassan Rouhani, who has thrown down a defiant challenge to his hardline opponents.
Rouhani, a 68-year-old moderate cleric who spearheaded a 2015 nuclear deal with world powers, took 23.5 million votes - 57 per cent - compared to 15.8 million - 38.3 percent - for hardline challenger Ebrahim Raisi.
U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, whose country has had no diplomatic relations with Iran since 1980, said he hoped Rouhani would use his second term to end Tehran's ballistic missile program and what he called its network of terrorism.
"I respect the outcome of the vote of the people and the result will be respected by me and all the people", Mr Raisi said after voting, according to the semi-official Fars news agency.
"At the moment, we know that the U.S. President Donald Trump wants to get rid of it, but he can not", because Rouhani's adminstration has not violated the deal and Iran has done all its obligations, the expert said.
Although considered a moderate by Iranian standards, Rouhani was the favorite pick for those seeking more liberal reforms in the conservative Islamic Republic.
From the outset when the counting of the votes started after midnight in Iran, the early results indicated that President Hassan Rouhani was heading for a landslide.
"I'm happy and a bit relieved after a month of stress", said 27-year-old Afshin as he joined a large crowd gathered in Vali Asr Square of central Tehran.
The election saw some 70% of Iranian voters coming to vote and this massive victory gives him all the powers to seek reforms in the nation that is riddled with lot of troubles.
Iran's President, Hassan Rouhani has been elected to a second term in office with a wide margin of the national vote.
In 2013, Rouhani won the presidential election with a score of 51% of the votes with a turnout of 73%.
His supporters said they have high hopes for Iran's future under his continued leadership.
The prime minister, in a message of felicitation to the Iranian president, said the Iranian people had chosen President Rouhani to guide the country with his visionary and astute leadership, through which Iran had made significant achievements in all the national and global domains.
He appeared to embrace a more reform-minded role during the campaign as he openly criticized hard-liners and Iran's powerful Revolutionary Guard, a paramilitary force involved in the war in Syria and the fight against the Islamic State group in neighboring Iraq. No woman has been approved to run for president.
