Fyre Festival attendees, some of whom spent thousands of dollars on airfare-included tickets and packages to the event that was promoted by the likes of Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, and Emily Ratajkowski, are reportedly stranded at the event, and the conditions are unquestionably awful.
Ja Rule, who was the ring leader of the festival, recruited A-List models such as Kendall Jenner, the Hadid sisters, Emily Ratajkowski, among others, to promote his event all over social media.
Social media blew up with attendees bashing the event and offering first-hand accounts of the chaos.
After being promoted as a luxurious event featuring "the best in food, art music and adventure", Fyre Festival got canceled on Friday and sparked a major reaction across all areas of the internet.
To make matters worse, festival-goers who reached the island did not immediately receive their luggage upon arrival.
Band Blink-182 pulled out of the festival on Friday, saying: "We're not confident that we would have what we need to give you the quality of performances we always give our fans".
More "seasoned event experts" will be added to the 2018 Fyre Festival, which will take place at a US beach venue, according to the event organizers.
Following the backlash, Ja Rule, an early backer of the "luxury" festival took to Twitter, where he expressed his concern - sort of.
The rapper had said Friday, after the postponement and reports of chaos, "I wanted this to be an awesome event.it was NOT A SCAM as everyone is reporting".
Ja Rule later took to Twitter to apologise for all the festival's problems, claiming that they had left him "heartbroken" and that the organisers were working on getting everyone off the island.
The Fyre Festival had promised "culinary delights and luxury" over this weekend and the second one in May.
The rapper promised to make another statement at a later time. Ja Rule and the organizers are now working to get everyone off the island. "The festival is being postponed until we can further assess if and when we are able to create the high-quality experience we envisioned".
