The UK has raised it's terror alert to its maximum level and ordered the British army to protect strategic sites following the suicide bomb attack in which 22 people were killed after a pop concert at the Manchester Arena.

The prime minister said he has made contact with his British counterpart Theresa May to express Australia's condolences to, and reiterate Australia's solidarity to the people of Britain and those affected by the terror attack.
Also on Tuesday, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang sent a condolence message to British Prime Minister Theresa May over the explosion, extending his deep condolences over the victims killed in the incident and honest sympathy to the families of the victims killed and the injured.
"We learn from every attack", he told reporters in Canberra on Wednesday in response to the deadly Manchester terrorist blasts. We're treating it as such.

Trump was meeting Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday and was expected to comment on the attack later.

This is an attack on innocence. Surely there is no crime more reprehensible than the murder of children.

French President Emmanuel Macron said he was "horrified" by the attack.
