The Indians overcame an 8-3 deficit, a bad start by ace Corey Kluber and a potentially serious injury to slugger Edwin Encarnacion. The pitcher whose creaky knee nearly made him quit in the middle of his 17 season had outlasted likely Cy Young Award victor Corey Kluber.
