At this year’s D23 Expo and San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel offered fans a first look at the “Avengers: Infinity War” teaser, the full version of which the studio has yet to release officially. The artworks were shared by Gamezone who received them from one of their readers.
Infinity War and the still-untitled Avengers 4 will be a turning point in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, bringing together the Avengers, New Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and new superheroes to fight the mad titan Thanos. But it’s undoubtedly Iron Man who will generate the most buzz online, given the series stalwart tends to be the biggest draw when it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The third image appears to be characters that are on Thanos’ side, named Proxima Midnight (left) and Corvus Glaive (right). “But when we go wide to a wide audience, we have to make sure that footage works for a wide audience”. It suggests that suit is supercharged with Vibranium.
Avengers: Infinity War, set four years after the events in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, will see Earth’s Mightiest Heroes joining forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy to go against Thanos, who is collecting the infinity stones for the gauntlet, allowing him enormous power on many levels.
It is also worth noting that they are now shooting Avengers 4, so perhaps Bettany’s presence behind the scenes is an indication that Vision survives the events of Infinity War and makes it to the next chapter.
Promo art for the films have also shown Captain America (Chris Evans) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) taking on new looks, and it seems like Hawkeye’s (Jeremy Renner) following suit. Fighting alongside the heroes of the Guardians, Avengers, and New Avengers teams are newcomers Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, and Black Panther.
The film’s star cast includes Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa/Black Panther, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Daniel Kaluuya as W’Kabi, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Angela Bassett as Ramonda, Forest Whitaker as Zuri, Florence Kasumba as Ayo, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Sterling K. Brown as N’Jobu, John Kani as King T’Chaka and Andy Serkis as Ulysses Klaue.
