The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are successors to the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, while the iPhone X is the special anniversary edition. Depending on the carrier and the storage option, users can get their handsets as soon as September 22.
Apple iPhone X will launch in India and globally from November 3. The iPhone 8 offers a 12MP rear camera and a 7MP selfie camera, the iPhone 8 Plus has a 12MP + 12MP dual-rear and 7MP on the front. Each lens boasts a 12-megapixel sensor, says Pocket-Lint, as well as optical image stabilisation and zoom.
Only the iPhone 8 Plus has the new Portrait Lighting feature, an in-beta shooting mode that lets you create dramatic lighting effects.
Additionally, iPhone X, the future of the smartphone, will be available to pre-order at VirginMobileUSA.com on Friday, October 27. iPhone X features a gorgeous all-glass and stainless steel design with a handsome 5.8-inch Super Retina display, A11 Bionic chip, wireless charging, an improved rear camera with dual optical image stabilization and Face ID, enabled by the new TrueDepth camera. Perhaps the most different feature from previous iPhones is the lack of a home button.
Apple fans can officially get in line for a shiny new iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus from 5pm Friday, September 15, as pre-orders from the online Apple Store, retailers, and major telcos launch.
The iPhone 8 Plus is bigger than the iPhone 8 which allows for a larger display.
Apple iPhone 8 starts at $699 in the United States, while the iPhone 8 Plus starts at $799.
When Apple announced the new handsets, a lot was made of the new devices supporting wireless charging, which isn't actually true wireless as you still have to place the phone on a charging pad for it to charge. However, the AirPower is expected to be sold as a separate device. Simply by holding the phone up to their face and looking into the camera, users will be able to unlock their phones via the Face ID. Most people will never need most of the bells and whistles Apple uses to justify the exorbitant cost of the X. However, in the scheme of things, the iPhone X isn't all that ridiculously priced considering what you get. Meanwhile, only the 256GB iPhone 8 still offers a September 22nd release date.
The iPhone X will cost £999 for the entry-level 64GB, while the range-topping 246GB model is £1,149.
