"Every madarsas hoist national flag on Independence and Republic Day besides going for "prabhat pheris" in the morning".
The madarsa authorities will also have to click photographs of their celebration of the Independence Day and send the same to the madarsa board office. After that, homage will be paid to the soldiers and martyrs of the freedom struggle.
The board has also asked the students to take out a "Tiranga rally" on the day. A cultural program on national unity and sports events will follow then and the program will end with sweet distribution.
However, Maulana Khailid Rashid Firangimahali, a prominent Sunni cleric took affront of the circular asserting that madrasas had always been a part of Independence Day celebrations.
The UP Madarsa Shiksha Parishad has issued a circular asking all madrasas to make provision for videography of events organised on August 15. The entire function has to be videographed.
This is for the first time in state's history that madrasas have been directed to organise more programmes than just hoisting the national flag and reciting national anthem.
According to the circular, the flag hoisting and recitation of the National Anthem will take place at 8 am.
At present, around there are 8,000 recognised madrasas in UP of these, 560 are fully aided by the state.
The CBSE circular had also listed similar cultural activities which could be organized by all affiliated schools on August 15. "These videos will be kept as an evidence to prove that all programmes were organised in madrasas as per state government directives".
Adding to the order, the chairman of the MP Madrasa Board, Syed Imad Uddin, told ANI that it's a routine order to celebrate the I-Day.
