Alongside a photo that used to feature both the actor and Lively, Ryan wrote: 'Happy Birthday to my incredible wife'.

Accompanied by a stunning shot of the pair at the Met Gala, Reynolds was quoted saying, "She always responds with empathy". She meets hate with empathy.

Meanwhile, Blake spent her birthday on the set of her new movie A Simple Favor in Toronto on Friday. She makes my life sunnier, happier, funnier, stylishier, and super duper yummier! While the actor is known for his comical tweets and Instagram posts, Lively revealed in July that his social media stories (usually about their two daughters, two-year-old James, and 11-month-old Ines) are entirely fabricated.

'When he says 'my daughter, ' he's never, ever talking about her. "Everything is a completely made-up scenario", Lively, 30, told Glamour magazine.

She continued, "He'll run them by me sometimes just to make me laugh". While most people tend to post heartwarming and emotional birthday messages to their loved ones, Ryan Reynolds had a different idea for his wife's birthday.
