Blizzard has announced the latest entry to the ever-growing roster of Overwatch heroes and - as expected - it's Doomfist.
If you're lucky enough to own the PC version of Overwatch and you hop onto the Public Test Region you will already get to experience Overwatch's first villain Doomfist.
Doomfist is now available for PC players through the recent PTR update, and the feedback is mostly positive.
Blizzard promised back in June that it's working on reducing duplicates in Loot Boxes, giving you five, standard PTR Loot Boxes to have a play around with.
"His primary attack is the Hand Cannon; this four-shot weapon fires projectiles from Doomfist's knuckles one a time or in a single blast. In addition to dealing ranged damage with his Hand Cannon, Doomfist can slam the ground, knock enemies into the air and off balance, or charge into the fray with his Rocket Punch". Cripes. While his Rising Uppercut move tosses enemies into the air - kind of like Sagat on steroids - his passive ability Best Defense shields him everytime he uses his abilities against an opponent.
Meteor Strike: Doomfist leaps into the sky, then crashes to the ground, dealing significant damage.
"Who wants to hear me do the voice of Doomfist for real?"
The second most upvoted comment is a response to another user's wish for the dive meta to come to an end with Doomfist, by saying "he actually added to the dive meta", referencing to the fact that Doomfist's kit involves him getting in the middle of the enemy team to wreak havoc.
There's also been some additional fixes to various known issues and bugs in the game which are detailed in depth over on the Overwatch blog.
