A suicide bomb blast killed 22 people and injured dozens more in the foyer of the arena on Monday, May 22, just as Ariana's concert ended. The concert also came one day after an attack at London Bridge killed seven and injured 48.

Additional security measures were put in place for the concert, with police warning that everyone would be searched.

The 23-year-old finished with a emotional performance of Somewhere Over the Rainbow. She shared a picture of a heart for the second photo.

Thorpe's eight-year-old daughter, Lily, suffered a shrapnel wound in her back and is recovering from surgery.

The Guardian reported that Lily was released from the hospital in time to attend the benefit concert.

The concert was shown in 50 countries around the world and streamed via Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
