Detectives have made "immense" progress in the investigation into the Manchester bombing and are confident they have arrested some "key players", Britain's top counter-terror officer has said.
Greater Manchester Police previously hailed the "significant" arrests made and the "very important" items seized in raids as they attempt to close the net on Abedi's suspected terror network. We're very happy we have got our hands around some of the key players that we're concerned about.
Since Tuesday a total of 10 people have been arrested, with eight remaining in custody.
Police have reviewed security at more than 1,300 events across the country, he said.
He also said that standby notices issued to NHS staff - which means health organisations have to be on alert in the run-up to the bank holiday in case of another attack - were precautionary.
A 16-year-old boy arrested in Withington on Thursday and a 34-year-old woman arrested In Blackley on Wednesday have been released without charge.

'We need to grow our confidence that we have got every component of the network and we have got as full an understanding as possible about how the device was constructed and whether there's any remaining risk.
Mr Rowley also urged people not to change their plans in the wake of the attack.
Yesterday evening officers were still carrying out searches at 12 locations, with activity expected to continue throughout the weekend. I think it is fair to say that there has been enormous progress with the investigation, but still an terrible lot of work to do.
