Crutcher's shooting led to several protests across Tulsa, in which people accused police of racial profiling. Crutcher was tasered by another officer as Shelby fired at him.
Rev. Joey Crutcher, father of the 40-year-old shooting victim, reportedly said: "Let it be known that I believe in my heart that Betty Shelby got away with murder".
Crutcher's sister, Tiffany Crutcher, told reporters the verdict was a "tough pill" to swallow.
During cross examination, Assistant Tulsa County District Attorney Kevin Gray asked Shelby why she didn't use her Taser.
A lawyer for Shelby said she believed Crutcher was under the influence of hallucinogenic drugs. While on the stand, Shelby testified that she was in fear for her life when she shot Crutcher and didn't know whether he was trying to reach for something inside his vehicle.

"Sometimes, change comes from starting the conversation", said Black Lives Matter OKC Exec. Director T Sheri Dickerson. However, Shelby has maintained that she acted out of fear surrounding the totality of the circumstances and that race was not a factor or otherwise contributed to her decision to pull the trigger. That big bad dude was a son. "I'm going on record to say they did their job, but I'm wondering what they were thinking about".
Shelby was arrested shortly after officials released videos of the shooting, which showed Crutcher walking on the road with his arms in the air before being shot.
Crutcher's vehicle had reportedly broken down.
Shelby, who is white, fatally shot an unarmed black man previous year. They noted Crutcher had his hands in the air, partly confirmed by video taken from a dashboard camera and helicopter. Another officer shot him with a Taser dart at about the same moment the fatal shot was sacked from Shelby's service weapon.
