Performer Nicki Minaj made some struggling students very happy this weekend when she offered to help pay for college-related expenses.

Nicki says she'll continue to help her fans out in a couple of months, too.

TMZ reports more than two people have received money from Minaj. "Who wants to join THAT contest?!?!♀️ Dead serious".

"Music is lovely, but I want you to stay in school, okay?"

But when the rapper learned a follower needed only $3,000 to cover the cost of three classes, she agreed.

One person got a check for $500 from the rapper.

Nicki Minaj and the college tuition frenzy began innocently enough last night. How much do u need to get u in school? Another user asked for the staggering sum of 6,000 dollars to go towards his tuition, room, and board and meal plan. Is that the only thing stopping u?'

Nicki Minaj has been known to stress the importance of excelling academically, and now she's putting her money where her mouth is.

Minaj has been a strong advocate for education and has tweeted at her fans numerous times to stay in school and finish their education.

After responding to dozens of tweets, Minaj (34) joked that she would have no money left if she continued donating. I have been crying all night and I cried in the office this morning as I paid my downpayment for esthetician school.
