Jomana Abedi, 18, described her older brother Salman as kind and loving and said she was surprised that he had detonated a suicide bomb, killing 22 people after an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena on Monday.

Management for U.S. singer Grande, whose concert had just finished when the bomb went off, said her world tour including upcoming gigs at the O2 in London had been postponed.

Abedi, who was reportedly born in the U.K.to Libyan parents, is believed to have traveled to Libya recently, according to multiple media outlets that cite US officials with knowledge of the investigation.

Ramadan Abedi told the Associated Press early Wednesday that he believed his son was innocent.

Amber Rudd said the move was temporary but refused to be drawn on how long the heightened state of alert would remain in place.

They were described vaguely as "law enforcement images" by the New York Times, but the paper did not otherwise say how they had been obtained. "Our way of life has once again been threatened but we will overcome this together", her managers said. There was nothing worrying at all until ...

A family friend said that the bomber, whose father and two brothers have been arrested in the days after the attack, was also outraged at the death of his friend, which he viewed as a hate crime.

The attack on Manchester Arena was staged by 22-year-old Salman Abedi, a Manchester resident of Libyan descent.

He confirmed that another son, Ismail, 23, was arrested Tuesday in Manchester.

Ramadan Abedi, who was detained by a Tripoli counter-terrorism force during the interview, said his son Salman had told his family that he was heading on pilgrimage to Mecca. "We have been following him for more than one month and a half", Bin Salem said.

After the images were published, the National Police Chiefs' Council was forced to released an nearly equally angry statement condemning the leak.

He said he fled Tripoli in 1993 after Moammar Gadhafi's security authorities issued an arrest warrant and eventually sought political asylum in Britain.

"The security forces raided the home and broke down the door, scaring the neighbours, and they thought that the house contained explosives, even spreading a rumour that it had, but there weren't any". Al-Libi's wife told the AP that she went to college in Tripoli with the elder Abedi's wife and that the two women also lived together in the United Kingdom before they returned t Libya.

British police arrested a seventh person Wednesday in connection with the massacre at a Manchester pop concert that left 22 people dead.

In a Facebook post, the Special Deterrence Forces, which operates out of a former U.S. military base, said that Hashem had been an ISIS member, had been involved with the Manchester plot, and was en route to withdrawing 4,500 Libyan dinars (about US$560) sent by Salman when he was arrested Tuesday night by the militia.

Abedi also said he was sure Salman had not been a member of Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

Two Polish parents were also killed while collecting their daughters from the venue, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said.

She also complained about USA officials leaking sensitive information about Abedi to the press.

Two men were detained on Thursday, one following a search of an address in the Withington area of Manchester.
