In honor of Charlotte's second birthday on May 2, proud parents Prince William and Princess Kate released a new photo Monday morning - and it is royally adorable. Prior to that, the Princess was photographed during a trip to Canada with her parents.
The couple released a similar photograph of Charlotte previous year to celebrate her turning one.
Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was born on May 2, 2015 at the maternity wing of St. Mary's hospital in London, where her older brother Prince George was also born, on July 22, 2013.
The younger sister of the duchess will have Charlotte serve as a bridesmaid and Prince George as a page boy when she ties the knot with her fiancé, James Matthews, the palace announced last month.
Yes, Kensington Palace earlier today tweeted a photograph of the toddler princess and we have to say it's just gorgeous.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge said they are "delighted" to share the photograph to mark their only daughter's special day on Tuesday.
Charlotte's hair, grown noticeably longer, looks from the picture to have turned from dark blond to nearly reddish brown (although that could be the lighting) and is pinned back with a blue ribbon clip. There are not many cases where photos have seen the light of publicity. But as the family gears up to shift their base to London in summer, the pair will increasingly partake more official engagements in addition to increasing their charity work.

Happy 2nd birthday Princess Charlotte!
What's next for Charlotte and her family? Some did not fail to emphasize Charlotte's resemblance to his great-grandmother Elizabeth II.
Our favorite part of the royal Canadian tour was when the family-of-four showed up to a children's party in Victoria, British Columbia on September 29.
