Officials are investigating a death Friday morning at the Harvard School of Dentistry in the Longwood Medical area.

Boston Fire Department has not said if it was a student or a worker that died.

Friday around 10 a.m. police were called to the area after a man’s body was found in a lab. Police said it is possible the body was there since Thursday.

“What appeared to be a deceased person with some type of bag that had some kind of chemical in it”, Boston Police Bureau of Field Services Superintendent William Ridge told a group of reporters.

More than a dozen fire trucks – including the hazmat unit – were on scene along with dozens of first responders.

The body was found inside one of its labs – sparking an evacuation and “Level 3” response – just one day after Harvard’s graduation for the Dental and Medical School.

Walsh said it was unclear what chemicals were in the bag and if they came from the dental school.

He said firefighters determined the air quality was in normal limits and they proceeded to conduct a decontamination of the body.
