At New York Comic Con, Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman confirmed that, despite the numerous counts of denial by the creative teams, the two shows would be crossing paths in the future. "We want these shows to have their own legs and have their own stories and be their own", Kirkman told said when making the announcement. All that is now known is that one character will cross over between the two shows. "I'm not going to name them".
"What does that mean?" he teased. Because these timelines, like... how does that work?
The prospect of a Walking Dead/Fear the Walking Dead crossover is super interesting, especially given the fact that Kirkman noted at San Diego Comic-Con in July that "Fear the Walking Dead takes place roughly around the time of season 1 and beginning of season 2 in The Walking Dead".
Despite that, we got some great questions including ones about Negan's wives, which of the main characters will die first, and the merits of SyFy's Z Nation when seen through the eyes of a fan of The Walking Dead.
In other Season 8 news, a clip from the upcoming season was released that is a shot-by-shot recreation of another Walking Dead moment. Or is it going to be something completely different from that?' "We're all very excited".
The cast and crew of The Walking Dead shambled into The Theater at Madison Square Garden Saturday night for a capacity crowd, and they were there for one thing in particular: one last sneak peek at Season 8. Season 8 of The Walking Dead - which takes place in the American Southeast several years after civilization began to crumble - kicks off on October 22.
