A Central Carolina Fair employee was transported to the hospital Friday night after falling from a ride while trying to fix it, police say.
A fair worker was injured while attempting to fix a malfunctioning ride at the Central Carolina Fair, according to Greensboro police.
A state inspector is now investigating the incident and the Ferris wheel ride. The ride operator stopped the wheel around 9:45 p.m. Friday after one of the carriages appeared to tilt out of its normal position. Officials say one of the cars on the ride got stuck with at least one young boy trapped inside. The ride has since passed inspection and was put back into use yesterday.
The injured worker was taken by Guilford County emergency workers to a local hospital and has since been released.
