And while I have been a bit wary of what The Flash might be doing in its new season after a disappointing Season 3, this new promo has me intrigued. Barry's victory was short-lived, however, as an unbalanced Speed Force began to wreak havoc on Central City, forcing Barry to sacrifice himself for the greater good.
Fans never doubted that Barry's loss would be temporary - although there are plenty of other speedsters in Central City these days, he remains the titular character and star of the show.
"Just the state that Barry's in when he comes out, it's really changed the show quite a bit", he says.
The 30-second clip opens with a super-fast Barry (Grant Gustin) colliding with a pickup truck.
Barry (Grant Gustin) is reunited with Team Flash in a new promo for Season 4 of "The Flash".
Fortunately or unfortunately, robotic warrior Samuroid soon kidnaps Iris and demands the presence of The Flash, so it seems safe to assume that having his beloved in peril will help Barry snap out of his Speed Force funk. But it seems that he will be appearing nearly as soon as the new season begins, and that the changes to his personality are going to be a major part of season 4. Cisco also gleefully announces that there's a new suit; there's a even a new red logo for the show, replacing the gold of old!
The Flash will finally make its hotly anticipated return in less than a month, and to whet our appetite for the upcoming fourth season of the superhero series (which will feature BSG's Katee Sackhoff in the role of DC villain Blacksmith), The CW has unleashed a brand-new promo.
