The new Apple Watch 3 will be available on 22 September priced at $399 in the U.S., while a non-cellular model will be made available for $329.
The Music app has been redesigned to offer a new experience. Rogers wasn't mentioned. That leaves me out.
The watch will also be swimproof, and have Global Positioning System included. WatchOS 4 will arrive on September 19.
The Heart Rate app is also getting some high-tech updates to help users better monitor their health. They were a little light on details, so we'll have to stay tuned-pun intended, I guess.
The premium smartwatch, which features a host of upgrades, is Apple's first to work independently from the iPhone. Capacity will be 64GB or 256 GB. Prices start form $699 and both phones will go on sale from September 15 before shipping from September 22.
The smartwatch comes with cellular connectivity for which one can insert an embedded SIM (or eSIM) card into the watch.
Damn, it looks nice. "New generation of iPhone" with glass front and back.
It's also waterproof and available in a range of colours, including silver, grey and rose gold. Various leaks have indicated the new phone will feature a sharper display, a so-called OLED screen that will extend from edge to edge of the device, thus eliminating the exterior gap, or "bezel", that now surrounds most phone screens. Apple promises up to 18 hours of battery life. No more bringing a million cords and chargers on the road. Instead of pressing the button to get the home page, you swipe up instead. There's even more health related features in this release as well as new UI elements to give proceedings a brand new feel.
With the latest Apple Watch, you won't have to sync your watch with your phone to answer calls or stream music.. It basically does a 3D scan of your head you first set it up.
Apple did not confirm the exact watchOS 4 release time, but you can expect that it will arrive around 1PM Eastern, 10 AM Pacific.
Ten years after introducing the world to the iPhone, Apple is giving its signature product an overhaul. That's up from 1 in 50,000 with Fingerprint ID. That way consumers can leave their phone but still be connected via their watch.
In the USA, the starting price is $999 (64GB).
